too craze with RBMA to do much around here, but figured i might as well throw down all the covers.
for those unlucky enough to be outside of NYC to get the newsprint edition, go here to download PDF versions.

as part of the ongoing creative program we have been working on for the red bull music academy in new york city, i am currently heading up a month of creative direction for a daily newspaper titled the Daily Note.
given that it is mainly distributed on the streets of new york city a la AM new york (keep an eye out for the black and white aprons!) most will only be able to view as PDF (available for download here)… if you are in NYC, definitely keep an eye on the streets for the printed newspaper.

RBMA NYC 2013. been cranking on this for a while at Doubleday & Cartwright over the last half a year or so—excited to see the creative we have been building make its way out into the world. writeup on some of the preliminary announcements here. full info on redbullmusicacademy.com soon.
much more to come in the following months.
creative review put up some previews of their ken garland issue that is hitting shelves now – cover design by myself (typeset in garland monospace) and great execution on the interior and story by paul pensom and the whole cr staff. was an honor to be involved. check out more about it here and dont forget to grab the unit editions book while you still can.

Jalen Rose and Patrick Ewing never liked each other, so Jalen stole Patrick Ewing’s television. Not just any television either – a television with a VCR attachment. read the story on Grantland.

my lady julia is launching a perfume line this fall/winter. in the meantime she has set up a site (with my help) to showcase the brand launch and custom perfumery profiles. browse around, sign up for the mailing list, and like it on facebook. super proud!
a while back i worked on some graphics under the direction of ever-talented (as well as great friend) jeff thrope of cold splinters. jeff was approached by woolrich to develop cold splinters style graphics for their booth and retail display backdrops at Outdoor Retailer. a great collaboration and the first time in a long time i have had fun doing something that could be arguably called “illustration” (although i stopped calling myself an illustrator sophomore year in college). lots of fun.
view the whole project here. photos to come soon.

Really exited to be a part of this. Thanks to everyone involved for letting me be a part of such a impressive show. pre-order your new favorite book here.
